Liz Kellison

Gender, Strategy, and Development Consultant

Liz Kellison is a gender specialist who works with organizations to define and implement community-based solutions to alleviate extreme poverty and gender inequality. A seasoned leader with experience in philanthropy, private and nonprofit sectors, she was named as one of Apolitical's "100 Most Influential People in Gender Policy." in March 2021.


Kellison spent 11 years at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she developed the Financial Services For the Poor team's first gender strategy, resulting in a Women's Economic Empowerment program focused on digitizing cash transfers to low-income women.


With deep practical and strategic experience in gender equality and digital financial services, as well as digital social protection, Kellison's career is shaped by her passion to empower low-income women using digital tools as a force multiplier in the fight against extreme poverty.
